We have some exciting news to share - we are packing our camera bags, and everything else we own, and moving! From April 2024 we will be based in The North East!
We are both originally from the North East, and after 14 years of living in Yorkshire, we are waving goodbye and gearing up for a new adventure back closer to our roots.
Of course with a full year of weddings booked in for 2024 we will still be travelling back to lovely Yorkshire and beyond during the wedding season - but it also means we will be more available not only for Wedding Photography in The North East but also further up north…we see you beautiful Scotland! There are so many dreamy wedding venues, and elopement opportunities, in Scotland so we would love to photograph more weddings there.
We have had the pleasure of photographing some gorgeous weddings in the North East & Scotland over the years, and so to celebrate our move we will be sharing some of our favourite moments and venues from the region on the blog over the coming months.
For now though...what does the move mean for us and importantly for our couples present and future? Travelling for weddings
We LOVE a road trip and Clyde the Campervan is making the move up north with us which means we will still be available for weddings all across the UK. As before we do ask for a travel contribution for weddings over 2.5 hours driving away, the radius will just be a little different. This won't affect weddings already booked or any enquiries we are currently chatting to.
Pre wedding sessions
Again, the move won't affect our current couples and if you already have booked with us and have a pre wedding session in your package we will honour the location we have already agreed upon. For future bookings we can discuss locations and either add a little travel fee on if we need to go far to reach you, or if you love travel as much as we do and are happy to come to us we can make that work too!
Alternatively we may suggest locations and dates where we are already travelling, either in the van or for weddings, and if you can make those that would work too!
The big move
We have already been spending a lot of time this year with our family in The North East, some eagle eyed followers of our Instagram may have spied lots of beach photos! We have already begun the process of moving our things up there, and in the next month or so we will be finishing touching up our beloved Narrowboat home Bonnie ready for sale. We have LOVED being a part of the tiny floating home community but between all of our camera gear, Micahs joinery tools (did you know that's what he does outside of weddings?!) and the fact there are no canals in the north where our roots are...the time has come for us to move back to land. So if you know anyone in the market for a floating home...hit us up! We will be officially located back in The North East from April this year and we are VERY excited to already be seeing some incredible return trips to some of our favourite venues there in the diary later this year and for 2025. Plus we are thrilled to be a part of the Brides Up North wedding fair line up this year...so if you want to come see us settling into our new area you'll be able to meet us on the following dates;
