WHAT IS OUR STYLE?
We don't think as ourselves as ‘just’ wedding photographers on the day. We are there to support you, help you if you need us and make your day feel special.
Ultimately having a connection between the photographer and the couple really shows in the images. We want you to be able to let us into your world for the day and trust us with your memories.
There is no such thing as a photographer who just blends in seamlessly...we do our best...but we believe that the best images come out of interacting with your guests and becoming a part of the day. We keep it chilled out so that everyone relaxes around the camera and allows us to catch them in the moment.
We call ourselves "storytellers". Our photography is documentary in style with a slight editorial edge. We don't interfere with the flow of the day, and capture the moments exactly as they happen. We blend natural, candid photography with romantic, stylised portraits and detail shots...but don't worry there is no awkward posing allowed!
Our backgrounds before wedding photography include fashion, travel & film photography…so we love to blend this into our wedding style.
What is Natural Wedding Photography?
To us - Natural Wedding Photography is our way of explaining that we photograph your day in the moment, in a documentary style, with a very relaxed approach. We allow your day to unfold and we capture all the memories as they happen.
We take care to photograph as many little details as we can. Maybe even things you don't notice yourself in the moment. We are there from the outfits going on, to the first dance, and capture all of the smaller moments in between. We don't interfere with the day, but we look for the things we know will matter in your gallery.
The emotion in your loved ones eyes, a squeeze of the hand, the quiet moments, the loud and wild moments. We capture them all exactly as they happen, so that we can piece your gallery together like a visual story book of the day.
Some images alone from a gallery might not make any sense to anybody but you, but as part of a full collection of images they add something to the story, and that for us is what "storytelling" imagery is about. It is about carefully curating the gallery to show the full portrait of the day, not just the perfectly posed bits.
"Absolutely wonderful experience all round with Emily and Micah!
Such lovely people, they blended in seamlessly with the guests through the day but at the same time super helpful, for example keeping hold of the rings when my husband left the on the bar!
They had really fun ideas for our portrait photos too - which meant we actually really enjoyed them having been dreading having to pose!
